Who we are: Autism & Asperger Connections is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization linking families, individuals, and professionals in the Colorado Springs community to autism support, information, and resources. We currently provide 14 different free support groups throughout the community and have reached 300+ people locally and more than 600 people online in our Facebook community. The support groups range from Mom’s Night Outs and Dad’s Night Out to Family Support and Social Groups. We have Teen Groups, Tween Groups, groups for Young Adults, and groups for Adults on the spectrum. When we find the need for a new group, we create one to meet the needs of the community. AAC promotes awareness via educational presentations to local organizations like the USAF, El Paso and Teller County 911 Dispatcher Authority, and other local groups and schools upon request. Our organization helps to link members to provider services.
AAC is comprised of all volunteers. There are no paid staff, and we do not maintain an office. All of our budget is comprised from donations from the community. The money raised goes directly back into funding our programs.
